Why do we need data searching?

During the process of using the accounting software, you definitely need to search multiple data with different purposes:

To input staff, search for the desired data to compare, view or edit.

To statistical accountant, searchfor data to make statistics and print.

To general accountant, search for data to compare with synthetic data.

To system administrator, search for data to determine the productivity of the input staffs, and find out who is responsible for errors ...

To directors or business managers, search for data to compare with their decisions . etc. ..

  The concept of data search

So , What is searching for data in accounting software? It is finding out the data in the form of original documents, which means entered in the defined format with full of information like the original documents (including document date, document number, accounting, related subjects...). However, the original documents will be found to satisfy one condition (or a set of conditions) that is called the filter condition. The difference between data search and viewing report is that data search only gives the data in the form of original documents (not yet processed), while reports may provide the data that have been processed . Data on reports may be wrong ( since the data might be mistakenly calculated in the report), while unprocessed data (the data search) can not be wrong because it is the original data . Therefore, data search serves the first purpose of to comparing data with the original receipt and fix the errors, in order to ensure the correctness of the accounting data that will be processed later on reports .
